WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Wrestling is set to compete in another tri-meet on Saturday in Chattanooga, Tenn., facing Princeton and Chattanooga.
In Chattanooga's Maclellan Gym, the Boilermakers will take on the Tigers at 10 a.m. before matching up with the Mocs at 2 p.m.
Purdue has never lost to either program, holding a 10-0 combined record against Saturday's opponents.
The Boilermakers are 7-0 against Chattanooga, most recently winning 23-16 at the Boilermaker Duals in Holloway Gymnasium on Nov. 20, 2022.
Purdue is 3-0 all-time versus Princeton, last beating the Tigers 29-17 on Jan. 7, 2018.
The matches against Chattanooga will be streamed live on ESPN+. Action against Princeton will not be televised, but fans can follow live updates from the @PurdueWrestling X/Twitter feed as well as TrackWrestling (linked here).
The trip marks Purdue's fourth consecutive weekend of competition, with a break due next week for Thanksgiving. After Saturday, the Boilermakers will next compete in the annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational mega-tournament on Dec. 6-7. NUMBERS TO KNOW 6 – No. 4 Matt Ramos leads the nation with six technical falls this season. The redshirt senior has been dominant in all seven of his matches, breezing to a combined score of 118-10.
5 – Also of note, Ramos is one of five wrestlers nationally to have at least five wins, a 100% win rate and 100% bonus rate.
2 – No. 28 Brody Baumann continued his hot start last week with two wins, including one over No. 32 Dalton Harkins from Army. Baumann's two ranked wins this season are a team high.
36 – Ben Vanadia leads Purdue with 36 points in the third period. Since losing to No. 5 Stephen Little at the Tiger Style Invite, Vanadia has bounced back to win four straight entering Saturday.
45 – Purdue blanked Buffalo by a final score of 45-0 last weekend. It was Purdue's largest margin of victory in nearly five years, since beating Indianapolis by the same score on Nov. 24, 2019. Ramos retained his No. 4 ranking at 125 while each of the others moved up in their respective weight classes:

The Boilermakers dominated the Bulls with eight bonus point victories and a final tally of 126-16. Purdue did not surrender a single takedown in any of the 10 matches.
