WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's tennis team will vie for a spot in the NCAA Singles and Doubles National Championship at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship at Middle Tennessee this weekend.
The Boilermakers will send Juana Larranaga, Carmen Gallardo Guevara, Ida Clement, Ece Gence, Tara Katarina Milic and Fatima Gutierrez to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the five-day event.
Gallardo Guevara, Gutierrez and Milic will open in the singles main draw, while the other three will compete in the qualifying draw.
The Boilermakers return to action after a solid display last week at the Hoosier Classic. Larranaga took home runner-up honors at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, while Gencer has dropped just one singles match this fall.
