Purdue gave No. 12 Ohio State all it could handle on Sunday afternoon at Mackey Arena, but Abbey Ellis' last-second mid-court shot missed in a 71-68 loss to the Buckeyes. Ellis totaled a team-high 14 points, all coming in the second half. Rashunda Jones gave Purdue 13 points off the bench, while Mary Ashley Stevenson finished with 12 points and seven rebounds in 17 minutes of action. Jeanae Terry tallied eight points, eight rebounds and five assists in a complete-game effort.

• Purdue leads the all-time series with Nebraska 10-8.
• Jeanae Terry and Abbey Ellis are both 31 points away from the 1,000-point club - Ellis at Purdue, Terry for her career.
• Purdue's freshman class has averaged 29.5 points over the last four games. Two Boilermaker freshmen have scored in double figures in seven games this season, the most in the Big Ten.
• Mary Ashley Stevenson improved her tally of seven-point, seven-rebound games to a Big Ten best eight games. Stevenson ranks fourth among league rookies with 9.4 points and second with 5.4 rebounds per game. Stevenson and Nebraska's Natalie Potts are the lone rookies in the Big Ten to average nine points and five rebounds this season.
• Rashunda Jones ranks third on the Big Ten freshman chart with 9.7 points per game. She is one of 22 players in the nation and one of two in the Big Ten averaging nine points per game without making a start on the year.
• Madison Layden tops the Big Ten and ranks fifth in the nation with a 47.8% 3-point clip this season. Her shooting clip from the outside jumps up to 52.9% in Big Ten action.
• As she nears becoming the 36th 1,000-point scorer in program history, Abbey Ellis moved up to 29th on the career charts with her 54th game as a Boilermaker with more than 10 points, when she paced Purdue with 14 against Ohio State on Sunday.
• Jeanae Terry enters Wednesday alongside Iowa's Caitlin Clark and Maryland's Shyanne Sellers as the only three players from the Big Ten to average over five points, rebounds and assists this season.
• Terry is second in the Big Ten in assists (115) and assists per game (5.8), while ranking 15th and 20th nationally, respectively. The Detroit native needs 12 dimes to become the seventh player in Purdue history to amass 500 helpers in a career.
• Caitlyn Harper leads Purdue in scoring in Big Ten play with 12.6 points per game. The sixth-year senior is one of 12 players in the conference averaging double figures and shooting over 50% from the floor. Harper has scored 1,813 points in her career, ranking 29th among active players nationally.
• Purdue's NET strength of schedule this season is the seventh hardest in the country.
• Wednesday night's game will close seven straight games for Purdue against teams in the top 30 of the NCAA net. Maryland is the only team to drop outside the top 30 (33) since the Boilermakers faced them on Jan. 14.
• Purdue's freshman class leads the Big Ten with 23 points per league contest, while also scoring 22.8 points per all games.
