Purdue's complete effort came up just short against No. 16 Indiana on Sunday at Mackey Arena, falling 74-68. Caitlyn Harper went for 18 points and six rebounds over a season-high 38 minutes on the floor. Freshmen Mary Ashley Stevenson and Rashunda Jones gave the Boilermakers 13 points each, while Madison Layden and Abbey Ellis tacked on 10 points. Purdue won the rebounding battle and tallied 30 points in the paint. Indiana countered with 15 3-pointers to pull away.

• Purdue leads the all-time series with Michigan State 44-37.
• Purdue has a trio of players closing in on the 1,000-point club for their careers. Jeanae Terry is 53 points away from reaching 1,000 for her career. Abbey Ellis and Madison Layden have a chance to etch their names into the Purdue 1,000-point club with 61 and 89 points remaining, respectively.
• Rashunda Jones stepped scored 19.5 points per game over her last two outings with a career-best 23 points against Penn State. Jones is third among Big Ten freshmen at 10 points per game. Jones is the first Purdue freshman with three 20-point performances since the 2016-17 season.
• Mary Ashley Stevenson moved up third in Big Ten freshman scoring with 10 points per game in conference play with a 13-point outing against Indiana. Stevenson is one of nine rookies from a major conference with nine points, five rebounds and one assist per game this season.
• Purdue's freshman class averaged 34 points over two games last week with 42 points against Penn State and 26 against Indiana.
• Two freshmen have scored 10 or more points in six games this season, double the next highest total in the Big Ten.
• Madison Layden moved up to eighth on Purdue's all-time 3-point chart, joining Stephanie White with 183 triples.
• Caitlyn Harper tallied 18 points against Indiana to move her to 1,799 for her career. She is 29th on the NCAA active scoring list.
• Jeanae Terry is 25 assists away from reaching 500 for her Purdue career. Terry holds the program record for career assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.92.
• Averaging 5.7 assists and 7.0 assists per game, Terry and Iowa's Caitlin Clark are the only two players to rank in the top 10 of the Big Ten in rebounds and assists. Terry is one of eight players from a major conference averaging over five points, rebounds and assists this year.
• Madison Layden continues is shooting 48.2% from behind the arc this season to lead the Big Ten. The Purdue single-season record was set by Drey Mingo (48.2%) in 2010-11.
• The Boilermakers are shooting 77.5% from the line to rank 25th in the country and third in the Big Ten. Abbey Ellis sits fifth in the league with an 85% clip. Her career 87.5% mark at Purdue is second in program history to Courtney Moses' 90.6% (290-320).
