WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue soccer team will play at Notre Dame on Tuesday, April 12, as the exhibition match has been added to the Boilermakers' spring schedule.
Kickoff in South Bend, Indiana, is set for 7:15 p.m. ET, at ND's Alumni Stadium.
The in-state contest between the Boilermakers and Fighting Irish comes after the two sides were originally set to play in South Bend on April 9. That game was moved to March 26 in West Lafayette before weather canceled the matchup.
Following next Tuesday's match at Notre Dame, Purdue returns home to host UIC on Saturday, April 16, at 1 p.m. ET. The spring concludes against DePaul on Saturday, April 23, at 2 p.m. Both home contests will be held at Folk Field, and admission is free for all fans.
The Old Gold and Black are coming off a memorable 2021 campaign, as they went 15-4-3, their second-best record and second-most wins in team history behind only 2007. Purdue made the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2009, and seventh time in program history, and advanced to the second round for the fourth time and first since 2007. The squad went 8-2-0 in the Big Ten and notched a runner-up finish, both tied for their best-ever marks.
Purdue finished the year ranked No. 24 in the final United Soccer Coaches Top 25 national poll, appearing in the postseason poll for the third time ever and the first since 2007. Individual accolades included an All-America honor, two All-Region accolades, five All-Big Ten Team awards, the Big Ten Forward of the Year and the first two NWSL draft picks in team history.
