Purdue has hosted Rutgers each of the last two seasons, including the Friday evening of Halloween Weekend last year. The Scarlet Knights competed at IUPUI the following morning before flying home.

The Boilermakers have not had a full team meet (albeit without the divers) at what could be considered an East Coast locale since racing at the FIU Sprint Invitational in Miami in January 2020 as part of their winter training trip in Fort Lauderdale.

Later this season, Purdue also has Big Ten meets on the schedule in Champaign and Evanston. The Boilermakers have not competed in Evanston since January 2019 and have not been to Champaign since the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center opened in August 2001. With Michigan hosting the Big Ten Championships, in February the Purdue women are also slated to make their first trip to Ann Arbor since 2016. This comes on the heels of the Boilermakers' only two road meets last season before the Big Ten Championships being in-state at Notre Dame and Indiana.
