WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Five Purdue track & field student-athletes have qualified for the 2021 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held from March 11-13 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Seniors Brian Faust, Tamar Greene and Alexis Zatta, junior Isaiah Martin and sophomore Marcellus Moore will represent the Boilermakers as one of the top 16 competitors in the country in their respective events. Faust and Martin both earned their second NCAA Indoor Championships berths after both qualified in 2020. Faust, Greene and Martin also competed at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

"I'm really happy, I'm really thrilled for Brian, Tamar, Isaiah, Marcellus and Alexis," Purdue coach Norbert Elliott said. "It shows Purdue's consistency in all event areas. This is pretty similar to the group that we had at last year's championships, the same numbers, almost the same event areas. It shows that we're a well-rounded program with good coaching."

Purdue has five NCAA indoor qualifiers in five events for the second consecutive year.

Greene will compete in the triple jump, where he is seeded No. 10. He earned a qualifying jump of 16.14 meters, the third-best triple jump mark in program history, as he won a bronze medal at the Big Ten Championships on Feb. 26.

Martin is seeded No. 12 in the heptathlon after he claimed silver with 5,610 points at the Big Ten meet on Feb. 26. Martin also qualified for last year's NCAA Championships in the heptathlon after he set the school record in the event.

Faust will race in the 400-meter and is seeded No. 13 overall. His time of 45.87, set on Feb. 27 at the conference championships, broke his own school record in the event. Faust also qualified in the 400 a year ago.

The 2021 Big Ten high jump champion, Zatta earned the No. 15 seed in the event. Her conference-title-winning jump of 1.81 meters on Feb. 27 is tied for No. 6 in the Purdue record books.

Moore makes is NCAA debut in the 60-meter dash. He ran a qualifying time of 6.66 seconds on Feb. 27, which is tied for No. 4 in program history. Moore is seeded No. 15.

The 2021 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships are set for March 11-13 at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
