Purdue dropped its Big Ten opener to No. 18/20 Ohio State on Wednesday night, 70-53. The Boilermakers shot 29.6% and went 3-of-36 from the field in the loss. Defensively, Purdue held the nation's top offense to 20 points below its season average, but a 46-point second half allowed the Boilermakers to pull away in the fourth quarter. Madison Layden went 5-of-17 on the floor to finish with 13 points, while Jeanae Terry finished two points shy of a double-double with 13 rebounds.
