WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue soccer team concludes the season ranked No. 24 in the final United Soccer Coaches Top 25 national poll.

Coming off one of its best seasons in program history, the Boilermakers appear in the postseason poll for the third time ever and the first since 2007. Purdue has been ranked in seven consecutive polls after entering the national rankings for the first time since 2009 on October 5.

The Boilermakers were 15-4-3 in 2021, their second-best record and second-most wins in team history behind only 2007. Purdue made the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2009, and seventh time in program history, and advanced to the second round for the fourth time and first since 2007. The squad went 8-2-0 in the Big Ten and notched a runner-up finish, both tied for their best-ever marks.

Purdue appeared in the poll for the first time on October 5, at No. 25, and moved up to No. 19 the following week. Back-to-back weeks at No. 18 were followed by a week at No. 19. The Boilermakers entered the NCAA Tournament at No. 24, on November 9, before also checking in at No. 24 in the final poll on December 7.

Ranked for seven polls in a row is the program's fourth-longest streak, behind three 10-week stretches, in 2002-03, 2007-08 and 2009. The 2009 ranking was the last time the Boilermakers appeared in the national poll before this season.

Along with finishing this season at No. 24, Purdue was ranked No. 16 to conclude the 2007 campaign and No. 21 at the end of 2002. The team also received votes in the final polls in 2003, 2005 and 2009.

Top Drawer Soccer also has selected the Boilermakers No. 25 in its postseason rankings.
