CORALVILLE, Iowa – The No. 6 Purdue Boilermakers (13-2, 5-1 B1G) took three straight sets at Iowa (2-14, 0-6 B1G) 25-18, 25-12, 25-16.

Purdue's momentum continued, marking its ninth win in the last 10 matches. Not only did the Boilermakers out-hit the Hawkeyes 47-27 in kills, but led to a .366-.124 advantage in hitting efficiency.

Senior setter Hayley Bush led the team with her sixth double-double of the season (31 assists, 10 digs). Meanwhile, Raven Colvin secured a career-best 10 kills and joined Caitlyn Newton and Grace Cleveland as the three Boilermakers to record double-digit kills.

Taylor Trammell's .667 attack % was a team-best, and her most efficient match of Big Ten play this year. Caitlyn Newton led the team with 12 kills on her way to a .308 attack % while Cleveland downed 11 kills en route to a .364 hitting clip.

Defensively, Purdue was led by Jena Otec with 13 digs and Cleveland with six block assists. As a team, Purdue held 2020 First Team All-Big Ten honoree Courtney Buzzerio to zero kills through the first two sets and just three kills and a -.200 attack % overall.

The Boilermakers will split the coming week, with a road match at Ohio State on Friday, October 15 at 8 p.m. ET on Big Ten Netowrk. Then on Sunday, October 17, Purdue will host Penn State for a midday matchup. The first serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
