MEDINAH, Ill. - Purdue Women's Golf will head across state lines for the second weekend in a row as the Boilermakers make their appearance at the Illini Invitational, hosted at the Medinah Country Club by Illinois from Monday, Oct. 11 - Tuesday, Oct. 12.
Head coach Devon Brouse and his squad will roll out a new lineup for the event, with a couple fresh faces from Brouse's roster making their first appearances of the season.
The 15-team event will be played on Course No. 2 (par 72, 6,159 yards) at the Medinah Club, nestled in the Chicago suburbs just west of O'Hare International Airport. The Medinah Country Club has famously hosted the U.S. Open and PGA Championships in years past.
Slotted first in Purdue's five-some is senior Inez Wanamarta (Surabaya, Indonesia), followed by sophomore Ashley Kozlowski (Littleton, Colorado) as the Boilers' No. 2 for the event.
Junior Kan Bunnabodee (Chonburi, Thailand) enters her third event of the fall schedule averaging 72.5 strokes per round. Bunnabodee finished tied for seventh-place individually to start the 2021-22 season at the Sam Golden Invitational in Denton, Texas (Sept. 13-14).
Junior Sifat Sagoo (New Delhi, India) and senior Thitapa Pakdeesettakul (Songkhla, Thailand) make their debuts for the season at the Medinah event. Pakdeesettakul earned Second Team All-Big Ten Conference recognition as a junior last season. Sagoo appeared in seven events last season and was second on the team with 238 pars and third with 44 birdies in 2021.
