WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's tennis team swept its Saturday doubleheader at the Schwartz Tennis Center, knocking off Chicago State and IUPUI without dropping a match. The Boilermakers extended their winning streak to five matches, their longest since the 2017 campaign that ended in the NCAA Tournament. Purdue improved to 6-3 on the year.
PURDUE vs. CHICAGO STATE
The Boilermakers opened the day strong with a clean 4-0 sweep of the Cougars.
Purdue came out firing on all cylinders to clinch the doubles point. Maksymilian Raupuk and Tomasz Dudek put Purdue on the board at No. 2 with a 6-1 victory against Cody Wurzelbacher and Jakub Zamorski. Franz Luna and Arslan Orashev defeated Javier Sanchez Pradillo and Pedja Kolaric at No. 3 6-1 to open a 1-0 lead for the hosts.
The Boilermakers continued their momentum in singles play. Santiago Galan quickly defeated Cody Wurzelbacher in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 to clinch Purdue's second point of the morning match.
Dudek finished off Chicago State's Pedja Kolaric 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 to make it 3-0. Purdue sealed the 4-0 sweep over Chicago State when Michal Wozniak closed out Javier Sanchez Pradillo 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3.
Mateo Julio was on his way to victory, leading Jakov Suler at No. 1 6-2, 4-3 when play was halted. Orashev's first collegiate singles match went unfinished, while he led Jakub Zamorski 6-4, 1-4 at No. 6.

PURDUE vs. IUPUI
In the afternoon contest, Purdue showed few signs of weariness in a 4-0 sweep of in-state foe IUPUI.
The Boilermakers surged ahead 1-0 after taking the doubles point. Julian Saborio and Michal Wozniak gave the host an advantage with a 6-2 victory at No. 1 against Sean Bailey and Ethan Budiono. Maksymilian Raupuk and Tomasz Dudek quickly followed suit at No. 2 against Nicholas Moody and Alex Jochim, winning 6-1.
Franz Luna and Galan were one point from a win at No. 3 at 5-3 when play was stopped.
Purdue did not let up in singles play. Santiago Galan sealed his second victory of the day, topping Reed Plunkett 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6. The Boilermakers clinched their third point of the evening following Sebastian Welch's 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Nicholas Moody at No. 4.
Tomasz Dudek finished off the Jaguars, besting Michael Koch at No. 5 6-2, 6-1. Raupuk and Wozniak were each up a set on their opponent at No. 2 and No. 3 when play ceased.
