WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Fresh off its first title of the season, the Purdue men's golf team looks to finish its fall season on a high note at the Crooked Stick Invitational.
Purdue is one of 14 teams to head to the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana, aiming for its second straight team title against a strong field. Action begins Monday with 36 holes, before concluding with 18 holes Tuesday.
The field contains five teams ranked in the Golfweek top 50. Purdue will be paired with Vanderbilt and Northwestern for the Monday's opening 36 holes, teeing off holes one through three, starting at 9 a.m. ET.

THE COURSE
Built in 1964 by the famous course architects Pete and Alice Dye, it was host to the PGA Championship in 1991 and the U.S. Women's Open in 1993. It also hosted the Solheim Cup matches in 2005. Crooked Stick also hosted the 2012 BMW Championship, won by Rory McIlroy, and hosted the tournament again in 2016, where Dustin Johnson won with a record breaking -23. For many years it has been noted as one of the top 100 courses in the U.S. by Golfweek and Golf Magazine, two of golf's most popular magazines.

This marks the fifth edition of the Crooked Stick Invitational, with Purdue having played in all four previous tournaments. The Boilermakers have finished third (2010), second (2013), second (2015) and fourth (2017) previously. Current assistant coach Austin Eoff has two top-five finishes while Adam Schenk and Brian Carlson have also posted top-five finishes in the event's history.

- Joe Weiler, Junior: Weiler is having a strong fall, ranking second on the team with a 71.67 stroke average … owns two top-five finishes and three top-20 showings in four events this year … posted his top-five finishes in the first two events of the year at the Island Resort Intercollegiate (T-2nd) and Gopher Invitational (3rd) … leads team in par-4 scoring (4.03) and has had just two double bogeys or worse this fall … has been the team low man in six of 12 rounds this season.
- Nick Dentino, Freshman: Ranks third on the team with a 72.08 stroke average, good for 7-over par cumulative … shot a team-low round of 67 in the final round at Erin Hills … third on the team in birdies made (42) and is second in par-3 scoring (3.04) … seven of his 12 rounds this year have been even-par or better … owns two top-20 finishes this season (T-2nd at Island Resort Intercollegiate; T-16th at Gopher Invitational).
- Cole Bradley, Junior: Averaging 74.00 strokes per round this season, but posted an T-7th finish at the Marquette Intercollegiate … second on the team in birdies made (44) … averaging 73.50 strokes per round for his career, good for sixth in school history … has had a counting score in four straight rounds.
- Jason Hong, Junior: Averaging 73.88 strokes per round after a T-26th showing at the Marquette Intercollegiate … four of his nine rounds this year have been even-par or better … was 7-under par in his final two rounds last week at Erin Hills … averaging 76.00 strokes per round in the event's first round, but 72.67 strokes per round over his final two rounds of events … active leader (with Cole Bradley) in career top-20 finishes (6).
