GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Purdue track & field team closed out the Florida Relays on a thrilling high note with the men's 4x400-meter race. The team of Jordan Hollis, Samson Colebrooke, Shawndail McLaren and Brian Faust threw down a time of 3:05.58 to win the Pepsi Florida Relays event.

Despite the Boilermakers entering the finals with the fourth-fastest time in Friday's prelims, Faust earned the photo finish with a 0.30 second lead on the runner-up St. Augustine, who had the fastest time heading into the race.

The time beats the leading NCAA mark heading into the meet, and is also the second-fastest 4x400-meter relay ever by a Purdue team. Additionally, it obliterates the Big Ten season-best by over seven seconds.

Jah Strange also inked his name in the record books Saturday, with his triple jump of 52-01.25/15.88-meters, which placed fourth. While the race is not a personal-best for the Indio, California, native, it marks his best since becoming a Boilermaker and earned him the fifth-best jump in event history.

The women's relay team consisting of Myia Dorsey, Jae'Nisa Heckstall, Brittney Campbell and Samara Miller had an outstanding performance in the 4x400-meter relay as well. The team, which is made up of 50 percent freshmen, ran the fastest time in the Big Ten this season with their 3:35.73 mark. The Boilermakers beat out B1G foes Iowa and Maryland to register second-place and the 12th-fastest time in the NCAA thus far.

A top-10 finish was also earned in both the men's and women's 4x200-meter relays. Taking first in their heat, the women's team timed in at 1:36.27 for 10th-place. Meanwhile, the men's relay team combined for a time of 1:22.90 and a sixth-place finish.

Camille Christopher propelled the women's 4x100-meter relay team to a first place finish in their heat, passing the finish line just 0.008 seconds ahead of the Charlotte team. With the time, the Boilermakers placed 23rd overall.
