WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Former Purdue standouts Vincent Edwards, Isaac Haas and Dakota Mathias hope to hear their name called in Thursday's NBA Draft, televised by ESPN at 7 p.m. ET.
Edwards, Mathias and Haas have all had multiple workouts, all coming as recently as Tuesday. Mathias' last workout came with the NBA World Champion Golden State Warriors, Haas with NBA finalist Cleveland and Edwards with the Celtics.
Purdue Pre-Draft Notes:
Entering the 2018 NBA Draft, Purdue has had 48 players selected all-time in the NBA Draft. Purdue has had eight first-round draft picks and six chosen in the top 10.
Since 1980, Purdue is one of eight schools to have multiple No. 1 NBA Draft picks, joining Kentucky (3), LSU (2), Kansas (2), UNLV (2), Duke (2), Georgetown (2) and North Carolina (2). Joe Barry Carroll (1980) and Glenn Robinson (1994) were selected first in their respective drafts.
Purdue's two NBA No. 1 Draft picks since 1980 equal the same amount of the other 13 Big Ten schools (Greg Oden – Ohio State in 2007; Chris Webber – Michigan in 1993).
Head coach Matt Painter has had six players drafted in the last 11 drafts. Purdue players drafted during the Painter era are Carl Landry (2007; 31), JaJuan Johnson (2011; 27), E'Twaun Moore (2011; 55), Robbie Hummel (2012; 58), A.J. Hammons (2016; 46) and Caleb Swanigan (2017; 26).
Should a Purdue player be drafted, it will mark the third straight year that a Boilermaker has heard his name called in the NBA Draft. The last time that a Purdue was represented in three straight drafts came from 1974 to 1984 (11 years in a row).

Finished career ranked 15th in points (1,638), eighth in rebounds (779), 11th in 3-pointers made (173), 10th in 3-point attempts (441), 14th in 3-point percentage (.392), 10th in free throw percentage (.820), 11th in assists (403), fifth in games played (138), second in games started (126) and second in minutes played (3,957).
Finished career as one of three players in college basketball over the last 25 years with 1,600 points, 750 rebounds, 400 assists and 170 3-pointers (Tulane's Jerald Honeycutt – 1994-97; Michigan State's Denzel Valentine – 2013-16). Two of them (Honeycutt and Edwards) were coached by Purdue assistant coach Greg Gary.
Is the only player in school history with 1,500 career points, 700 rebounds and 300 career assists (he had 403).
Edwards averaged 16.9 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in eight NCAA Tournament games, shooting 53 of 101 (.525) from the field.
Edwards was one of three players in school history to have at least 90 assists in all four seasons, and the first to do so in 40 years, joining point guards Eugene Parker (1975-78) and Bruce Parkinson (1973-75, 77).
Isaac Haas quick hitters:
Finished career ranked 20th in career points (1,555), 20th in rebounds (643), fourth in field goal percentage (.589), eighth in free throws made (433), ninth in free throw attempts (628), seventh in blocked shots (124) and fourth in games played (139).
Haas fouled out twice in 139 career games while at Purdue.
Led the Big Ten in points per 40 minutes in each of his last three years at Purdue, averaging 25.9 points / 40 minutes over his last three seasons.
A good shooter, Haas shot 73.0 percent from the free throw line during his last three seasons at Purdue (357 of 489), averaging a free throw attempt every 4 minutes, 5 seconds on the floor.
Drew over 7.0 fouls per game in each of his four seasons at Purdue. His senior year average of 7.0 fouls drawn / 40 minutes was a career low, which still ranked 21st nationally.

With 2:30 on the clock, players shoot 3-pointers off the catch following full-court sprints followed by pull-up 3-pointers from the wing and top of the key. After shooting, players then do as many full-court layups for remainder of the time. Mathias went 13 of 16 from long distance to set the all-time Raptors record.
