WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Dakota Mathias is a senior guard from Elida, Ohio, and is one of the most underappreciated players in America.
Ending on Halloween, we will feature a different player in the "Getting to Know" segment. Tomorrow's final installment will feature senior guard P.J. Thompson.
Mathias will be one of the top players in the Big Ten conference after averaging 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 31.8 minutes per game a year ago. He shot 45.3 percent from 3-point range and enters the season needing 89 triples to tie the school record for career 3-pointers.
