WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue track and field teams wrapped up the home slate for the indoor season on Saturday. The Boilermakers turned in several great performances, including Cierra Brown's school-record in the triple jump.

Brown leapt a personal record on her second attempt as she recorded a mark of 12.86m (42-02.25). She wouldn't be done though. On her next attempt, the sophomore became the first Purdue woman to ever leap 13m, indoors or out, as she had a mark of 13.00m (42-08.00). That mark breaks a five-year-old school record that was held by Nkeiru Ugwoaba, who's best was 12.90m (42-04.00). She also moved ahead of now-assistant coach Angela Goodman whose career-best was 12.82m (42-00.75). The broke the Lambert Fieldhouse record of 12.93m (42-05.25) by D. Sommerville which has stood since 1991. Brown broke her own personal best by nearly a foot (11.25 inches). Her new mark ranks second in the Big Ten and ninth nationally. Brown also had a PR in the 60m hurdles, finishing fourth with a time of 8.57 seconds.

Devynne Charlton was another Boilermaker with a career day in the home finale. The freshman qualified for the 60m dash finals with a prelim time of 7.66 seconds, the second-fastest time. In the finals, she turned on the jets and finished second after crossing the line in 7.58 seconds. The time beat her previous best by 0.01 of a second and moves her up to sixth-place by herself in Purdue history. Charlton also had her best performance in the 200m dash. She ran a second-place time of 25.05 seconds. That time converts to 24.67 seconds, which is the fourth-fastest time in program history. Charlton decided to carry her career day into three events as she also ran a PR in the 60m hurdles. The Nassau, Bahamas, native qualified for the finals with the second-fastest time in prelims, after finishing in 8.54 seconds. In the finals, she took second with her fastest time as a Boilermaker and the fourth-best time in program history, 8.44 seconds. Charlton is just 0.01 of a second out of third, which is held by teammate Ciana Tabb. Charlton is seventh in the conference this season.

Amanda Downey set a PR in the pole vault on her way to winning the event. Downey cleared 3.81m (12-06.00) which is an all-time personal best by 8.25 inches. She beat her teammate Jessica Harter who also had a PR on the afternoon. Harter cleared 3.66m (12-00.00), which is a PR by 10.25 inches.

In the 400m dash, Aarin Jones was out front for most of the race. She led for nearly 300m and almost came back at the finish line, before taking second with a time of 55.88 seconds. That time converts to a 55.14, which is just off her career-best time of 55.04 seconds from last year.

In the finals, he took the top overall spot, after finishing with a time of 6.75 seconds. He won by 0.06 of a second. In the 200m dash, Mostert was the winner with a time of 21.45 seconds. That time converts to 21.08 seconds, which is the third-fastest time in program history. Mostert's fastest non-converted time is 21.27 seconds, which he has run twice, including last weekend.
